The Department of Art and Art History at The University of Texas At San Antonio currently serves over 400 art majors in art and art history through five related degree programs: BA in Art, BA in Art History, BA in Studio Art, MA in Art History and The MFA in Studio ART.

UTSA’s two exhibition spaces, The UTSA Art Gallery located at the 1604 Campus and the UTSA Satellite Space located in downtown San Antonio are dedicated to a wide variety of programs serving undergraduate and graduate students as well as the San Antonio community.

Our faculty, graduate students and alumni continue to greatly impact the Texas and the national art community, through exhibitions, publications and curatorial projects.

Along with Art Pace, the Blue Star Contemporary Art Space, Sala Diaz, the San Antonio Museum of Art, the Southwest School of Art and Craft and the McNay Art Museum, the Department of Art and Art History at UTSA is one of the major art institutions serving South Texas.
