New Art/Arte Nuevo: San Antonio 2014
Juried by Catherine Lee
New Art/Arte Nuevo: San Antonio 2014 is a juried exhibition that presents the work of 52 artists who live, work, or who have roots/raíces in South and West Texas. The artworks included represent a diverse array of aesthetic interests and themes that range from representational imagery to abstract design and from cultural criticism to sublime expression in works that extend across the full range of traditional and new media. This year’s juror is Catherine Lee, a multimedia artist, well-known for large abstract installations, sculptures and paintings. Her works are included in major collections around the world. Lee made selections from 300 works of art that were submitted by nearly 100 artists. New Art/Arte Nuevo: San Antonio 2014 is the fourth installment of this biennial project. A catalog is available.
